We kicked off 2024 in style, by being in bed by 10pm on New Years Eve. Of course we “watched the ball drop” (thank you, YouTube) before we headed off to sleep.

Addy

2024 was a year of growth for our family. We’re happy to share that Addy is doing great in school and loves her Whitesides friends and family — GO WILDCATS! Addy’s annual school fundraiser, the Whitesides Color Run, raised a record this year thanks in part to the donations from many of you. Addy was the highest fundraiser in her class and got to toss a pie at one of the resource teachers. Thanks to each and every one of you who contributed!!!

As December rolls around, we’re in the start of basketball season. This is Addy’s first year on an all-girls team and she remains the athletic and competitive fire-starter. We are looking forward to getting into games (which are just beginning now).

John

John accepted a new position within his company, Wellspring. He is now Director of Product Management. He continues to work on both new and existing technologies, and now manages his own team. Proof that hard work and dedication really does pay off.

Chris

Chris has continued to spend most of his time in the digital marketing world, although he loves spending his December reconnecting with the chocolate world. Bar & Cocoa has continued to grow and is the largest retailer of craft bean-to-bar chocolate in the United States.

Bolt

Bolt continues to enjoy (short) walks, belly rubs, and being the center of attention. He’s enjoyed spending a few days here and there at My Three Dogs in Mount Pleasant where he joins the larger dogs and plays for hours.

Miss Lucy

Miss Lucy is a big ball of loving fur and continues to come out sporadically when no one else is watching! We’re still slowly warming up to having outsiders in the house, and she generally enjoys the days lounging in the sunlight.

Hilton Head, South Carolina
We celebrated Chris' birthday in Hilton Head this year with both Chris & John's parents. Addy had a blast and especially enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tubs!

Florence, Umbria & Rome – Italy
Chris & John celebrated a milestone anniversary with our friends Flo & Galen in the picturesque countryside of Italy. Memories were made, too many bottles of Italian wine were consumed, and gourmet meals (including truffles!) were abundant.

Wilmington, Delaware
It’s always great to see family! Addy enjoyed dips in the pool at Aunt Veronica’s and spending time with Masen and Uncle Derek at the “big pool with the slide”!

Scottsdale, Arizona
Addy, Chris & John all ventured out to Scottsdale for John’s birthday this year. The big surprise (Angie & Jim) showed up a day later. It was a great time had by all, and lots of love to Aunt Windy & Uncle Joe for making our stay an incredible one!

Los Angeles, California
Chris & John celebrated the marriage of Stefan & Mireya in LA this year!

Albany, New York
Addy was so excited to be able to attend her cousin Kevin’s basketball camp this year in Albany! She’s secretly hoping it becomes an annual tradition.
